Over 1.26 million attendees attended the first phase of the 133rd Canton Fair

The 133rd Canton Fair was held in Guangzhou in three exhibition periods from April 15th to May 5th. As of April 19th, the cumulative visitor flow exceeded 1.26 million. Exhibiting companies and overseas merchants stated that the exhibition results were better than expected.

This year's Canton Fair is the first time that China has fully resumed offline hosting after a smooth transition in epidemic prevention and control. The first phase is from April 15th to 19th, with a total of 20 exhibition areas for household appliances, building materials, bathroom, hardware tools, and other items. 12911 enterprises participated offline, including 3856 new exhibitors.

Xu Bing, spokesperson for the Canton Fair and deputy director of the China Center for Foreign Trade, stated that the current global economic recovery is slow, international trade growth is sluggish, and international flights are still not convenient enough. However, from the operation of the first phase of the 133rd Canton Fair, participating enterprises and foreign merchants fully recognize the effectiveness of their participation.

He introduced that although overseas buyers are still recovering from attending the meeting, participating buyers have a strong willingness to trade and place orders faster. Some buyers claim that the comprehensive characteristics of the Canton Fair meet the "one-stop" procurement needs. Some participating companies have already received $3 million in intended orders on their first day, while some companies in the industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing exhibition area have received orders of up to $10 million.

It is reported that the second phase of the 133rd Canton Fair will be held on April 23.
